The task for our 3-D Modelling course on Rigging was to create and render a 3-D video teaching children about the solar system.

The video had to feature a child-friendly character dancing to the arrangement of the solar system.

The character, original or not, had to be modelled in Cinema4D along with a fitting stage.

Furthermore, the planets had to be correctly modelled and rigged to rotate both around the sun and around their own axis.

The character I chose to represent the video was Kanchome from the manga “Gash Bell!,” since he was a curious and friendly character. 

His cartoony appearance would make him a good fit for a learning video.

The video was made using the recording function in C4D along with After Effects.
